Flat Cat Syndrome
Summer is finishing with a furnace blast here on the West Coast.
Leading to the condition I've dubbed Flat Cat Syndrome. Everywhere I look, I see my two flat cats sprawled out, moving as little as they can help. Last night, Nina was lying on the couch on her back fast asleep, hind legs stretched out. All she needed was a hammock and a brewski. =o) I felt too hot and lazy to go get the camera, though. Nina has a gift for wrecking my digital cat photography by moving during the delay between my punching the shutter and the picture actually being taken. Melissa |

Except Smudge, who for some reason is always peppy, no matter how hot it gets. At least it cools down at night. I have fans in every room, blowing the night air in to cool down the apartment during the evening. It's a big relief! -- Joyce ^..^ (To email me, remove the X's from my user name.) |

Jake and Molly are both dug in somewhere relatively cool. They know there is no point in hunting till after dark. Kayla has been playing in her pool all afternoon, and they crashing in the shade under the swing until she dries off. That time delay is the one thing I hate about digital cameras. Sometimes I can get around it by pressing the shutter button half way and then waiting till they look back away before pressing it the rest of the way. Jo |
