Default [OT] My Christmas

I'm just now seeing some of the tape that my 13-year-old granddaughter made
with my video camera. The following snippet is a pretty good example of the
chaos that reigned at my house during Christmas. The singing, dancing d*g
is one of DH's Christmas presents from me (don't ask me why, but it just
reminds me of him).

I still want to see the little girl in the princess dress on roller
blades.

Why, what a remarkably . . . annoying gift. .

That clip is just too funny, but not all that different from Xmas with
my nephew and his Hokey Pokey Elmo.

Pearl was quite disturbed by all the commotion! LOL! I'm certain your
children were happy the dancing dog was not a gift to the grand children

Not a Christmas issue, but in dealing with [fur]kids and
transportation...

My ex-wife had an extremely powerful electric wheelchair on a trial
period. It had a main power switch, and then a rather sensitive joystic
combining steering and acceleration.

We looked up to see Clifford (RB) on the seat, sniffing and pawing at
the joystick. In horror, we also saw that the power switch was on and
the chair was aimed at the front door. Clifford was a big and powerful
cat, and easily could have manipulated the joystick.

Luckily, he lost interest, or we would have added to one of those
"World's Wildest Police Video" shows.

Spicey usually sits on my left armrest (non-steering), but on time, when I
wasn't paying attention. She took the back route to my right armrest. I heard
the clicks it makes before moving and got my hand under her to turn my chair
off. Startled the heck out of me.

When I'm indoors my chair is in low speed which slows the response time. It
also helps preserve wall paint.

Oops! Glad you were able to stop the chair before anything bad happened.
