Default Good news at last - Happy Christmas!

If you read my recent posts despairing of my CRF cat's renal problem and
recent crisis you'll recall how worried I was when she refused to eat the
diet after her hospitalisation. She was eating nothing at all and I gave her
Whiskas for about a week just to get her to eat.

Well the good news was that I managed to get her back onto a renal diet
(Walthams) which was new to her and she's still enjoying it 3 weeks later.

She had to have a check up yesterday and as she had lost a bit of weight and
not put it back and another blood test was recommended.

We've never had good results from a blood test yet so I spent the whole of
yesterday grouchy, miserable and worrying and a more than a bit emotional.

Despite the vet failing to ring with the results (he normally does ring) - I
finally rang them and found her urea is now NORMAL and her creatine had
DROPPED by nearly 150!!!!

If you have a CRF cat you'll know how important this is. It's doubly
important for us as it's only ever crept up.

Also, it means she may not now have to go onto monthly injections (although
this still needs to be confirmed after Christmas).

It's the best Christmas present and I thought I'd share it.

Happy Christmas to cats here. (And their mums and dads!)

Sarah and Izzi

That's great news! Congratulations! May the good continue for you
and your CRF baby.
