It seems to be a great favorite, probably because she likes licking fuzzy textures ... -- monique, who spoils Oscar unmercifully pictures: http://www.bounceswoosh.org/rpca |

They had endings of .JPG, and I prefer the lowercase .jpg. So I reused a script snippet to rename them all in one stroke, and I failed to notice that, in addition to lowercasing the extension, the script also added -web. (Which was from wedding pictures, where I wanted to be sure I didn't get the full sized and web sized pictures confused.) Ah. Thanks for that explanation. Though I feel like by asking that, I made you do more work in answering me than you would have if you'd just gone and removed the "-web"s from the picture names. Sorry about that! Joyce |

I'm a typical programmer; I'd rather spend half an hour cobbling together a script than spend a minute retyping almost the same command 6 times. The -web still identifies them as resized for the web, which is fine with me, anyway. That attitude does not extend to conversations, though. I enjoy talking/typing to people! -- monique, who spoils Oscar unmercifully pictures: http://www.bounceswoosh.org/rpca |

This is why I still use a Unix shell account for my email - my alloted disk space is full of little scripts and C programs that I use constantly. I spend all day writing shell, perl, and python scripts, and couldn't imagine spending my day any other way. When I have a really big program to write I still resort to c, but prefer the lighter-weight scripts. Dan |
