How is Willi doing Magnus?
Karen "MJohns7861" wrote in message ... I will be dealing with this with my cancer striken cat Willi in the coming months - I am hoping longer. Remember that euthenasia means "good death" in Greek. Note the variety of resources on the internet on the subject and a number of great books on amazon.com. It's been a great comfort for me doing my own research and reading. The more you understand the process - the more piece of mind you will have IMO. Magnus |

"K Loarma" wrote in message ... What's the big ****ing deal? It's just a cat, for god's sake. There are millions more of them out there that aren't half dead; go get one of those. After two weeks you won't even remember your dead former pet. Jesus. The same logic can be applied to your mother. Perhaps she should be put down for failing to instill compassion in you and another can be located to apply a boot to your ass to finish the job properly. |

"K Loarma" wrote in message ... In article , says... My cat is very sick. Blood tests last week showed infection, low immunity, and FIV+ status. He's lost lots of weight. He's at the vet right now on an I.V. drip. Tomorrow we get the results of further blood tests and x-rays. If they don't turn out well then it's time to think about pulling the plug. ****. I don't want to do that, but I don't want him to suffer either. What's the big ****ing deal? It's just a cat, for god's sake. There are millions more of them out there that aren't half dead; go get one of those. After two weeks you won't even remember your dead former pet. Jesus. Totally ignoring the above... My vet told me this morning that I am going to have to lose the wonderful companionship of my 13-year old Siamese "Lotus." I am, of course, devastated, but in some strange way, euthenasia will be easier on both him and me than my coming home and finding a dead pet, which happened to two other cat-companions of mine. I will, of course, miss Lotus till the end of time, but, on the other hand, I never thought I would ever get over the losses of "TV" and "Radio" nearly a decade ago. I did to a degree, and Lotus and I became best friends. I can't want to see what other sweet, lovable furry friend will become a part of my life real, real soon. I found the "Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement" (http://www.aplb.org) to be very helpful, and, barring any swift miraculous recovery, I plan to have the deed done this Friday (2) evening. May God Bless Us and Out Pets Forever. Vince |
