That's too bad, Chris. I think you could definitely benefit from this movie.
Sometimes being so close minded prohibits a person from learning. Why do you think I would benefit from this movie? I'm simply not interested in Michael Moore making any money off of me. If the message is so powerful and important, why not just sum it up in 3 or 4 sentences? |

Sorry, but the messenger kills it for me.
Ah, the last defense of someone who would rather remain with his head buried deep in the sand than be proven wrong. Megan, I put you in the same category as M. Moore. Your nastiness overrides whatever message or agenda you are pushing at the moment. I simply don't like him--why would I waste my time w/ anything involving him? Moore is another member of the Blame America First crowd No, it's about taking responsibility for what America does. Yes, he is. Based on that comment, you must hate America as well? and I just think his personal conduct is despicable. Which personal conduct is that? Catching people in lies? Umasking the absurdity, greed and lies of government and corporations? Exposing the ugly reality of the policies of this administration? AHA! You are a Bush basher as well. I suspected as much. I won't be seeing any of his garbage, thank you. Then I guess you reallly don't have any business commenting on something you know nothing about (not that that will stop you.) As usual, you spin what has been said. I never commented on the content of his movie at all. So much for your promotion of openmindedness. ?? Like you are so openminded, yourself...you assail anybody who doesn't agree w/ you. And you do it in a rude, nasty, insulting manner. |

Shows how much you pay attention - I haven't said word one about this
subject, as I haven't seen the movie yet. So keep my name off your diatribes please when they don't apply to me. GAUBSTER2 wrote: Sorry, but the messenger kills it for me. Some reviews of the movie mention his point about guns being just as easily available in Canada as in the U.S., yet the comparative rate of homicides using guns in Canada is a fraction of what it is here. His question is why? What's the difference? Some people (who haven't seen Bowling for Columbine) think the film supports gun control, but that isn't what he's saying. Exactly. He was saying that Canada has lots of guns too, but yet they hardly have any gun related deaths, especially compared to the U.S. So the question for pondering is why are there so many deaths here in the U.S. (something like 112,000) compared to 68 in Australia for example. I can't remember the figure for Canada, but it was really low compared to the US. What I also found interesting is that Canadians do not lock their doors but yet they don't have the crime that we do in the US.
