@aol.comnolitter enlightened us with... Oh yeah, I forgot about Wysong. I think they are completely different from any commercial pet food company I've ever seen. ________ I actually found some Wysong at the Whole Foods near me. The cats wouldn't touch it. LOL Pro Plan finally came out with wet food - the only other wet the kids will eat besides that horrible Fancy Feast. We've tried every brand I could find. That's all they like. *sigh* ------------------------------------------------- ~kaeli~ Jesus saves, Allah protects, and Cthulhu thinks you'd make a nice sandwich. http://www.ipwebdesign.net/wildAtHeart http://www.ipwebdesign.net/kaelisSpace ------------------------------------------------- |

Pet food
companies advised against raw meat (but of course they would) and vets did too because they had no experience with raw diets, and the ones I came across had learned what they knew about feline nutrition from brochures from pet food companies or from pet food company reps. Which pet foods companies did you contact that "advised against raw meat" as you put it? I think you're making this up again. I found a vet who had many years of experience feeding raw diets to cats. Sure you did. |

That is one company I have a deep respect for because they show a deep respect for their customer. And Dr. Wysong is another one who says no animal can be 100% healthy without raw in its diet. PHD pet foods also suggest using their kibble as part of a complete diet including plenty of raw meat. I've never heard of PHD. Are they available at pet food stores or do you have to order on line? ________ See my cats: http://community.webshots.com/album/56955940rWhxAe Raw Diet Info: http://www.holisticat.com/drjletter.html http://www.geocities.com/rawfeeders/ForCatsOnly.html Declawing Info: http://www.wholecat.com/articles/claws.htm |

LOL I'm keeping track of the foods that my cats like and dislike. Early conclusions are easy. They don't like turkey. They like lamb. They hate Wysong everything. Too bad because I do prefer they would eat that. Well, at $1.15 a can, maybe not. I give them Wysong and they give me nasty looks. |
