One eye darker than the other?
Well, because her next appointment is in only a couple of weeks, to get blood tests because she was recently put on metacam. *Vet trips stress her, when she stresses she gets cystitis, which usually means a vet visit... Oh, in that case, include it on your list of questions. I'm a little paranoid about cat eye problems, as one of ours has cataracts (born with them) and glaucoma in one eye. Regular vets (IME) have limited knowledge about cat eyes, so we see a specialist. |

One eye darker than the other?

Suddenly, without warning, FirstHit exclaimed (9/16/2009 9:20 PM): I am not suggesting that the following applies here, but your post reminds me of a story I saw on TV earlier this year in which a mother noticed one of her baby daughter's eyes looked different from the other in flash photos. She posted the photos on the Internet and some doctor took notice and contacted here saying the girl may have an aggressive form of eye cancer. Turns out she did. The eye was removed in time to save her life. FirstHit Good to keep in mind. FWIW, when I end up with Devil Cat (black cat with glowing eyes) they glow equally jmc Hmmm, interesting. I took a picture of her yesterday on her new perch, got glowing green cat eyes - and the "darker" eye is definitely glowing differently - darker green, not as much of a halo. Definitely something to ask the vet, and will move her appointment up as much as I can. jmc |

I looked back at old pictures and the other pic I kept with glowing eyes also has the same effect, from 2006, so I'm pretty sure it's nothing. jmc |

A difference in color there could be attributed to angle of light or position of the camera. However, I think it's worth mentioning to your vet since you noted the same difference just by looking at Meep. I do think you will probably find that there is no problem, and that is certainly what I *hope* to hear. Please keep us updated. MaryL |
