cat frothing at the mouth

My 2 year old cat has been playing in the garden all day(uk). He came in about 7pm as he is not allowed to stay out at night, about hour later he started to froth at the mouth, he is not in any pain and eating and drinking as normal.I think he has come in to contact with a toad and possible a slow worm.Should i take him to a vet? You might want to check around your house for spilled antifreeze, it causes cats to foam at the mouth in small doses and also causes convulsions and death in large doses. hth James Marz Born in lust, turn to dust. Theirs is much less toxic. Poster needs to worry about the kind with ethylene glycol. The newer, propylene glycol-based antifreeze, is less toxic (though still not a good thing for them to consume) and is more bitter so that they don't have such a desire to consume it. -- -- ~kaeli~ Reading while sunbathing makes you well red. http://www.ipwebdesign.net/wildAtHeart http://www.ipwebdesign.net/kaelisSpace |
