Default Update on Sandy #2

I talked to the vet who treated Sandy yesterday. In a nutshell, it's
all tied into her deteriorating kidneys. Decreased blood cells and
oxygen, elevated creatnin into high range, decreased erythropoten,
kidneys compromised - all contributing to vomiting, anemia,
dehydration, chronic.... Bottom line - early warning signal that
Sandy is going downhill. About all we can do is keep an eye on her
and keep her on the K/D. Possibly sub-Q's in a month or two.

Thank you all for caring.

Ooooooooh. I don't blame your son for not being able to report all that to
you; I have medical background and there's one of those items *I* don't
understand. But the rest I do....and we will send comfort purrs for Sandy's
quality of life from now on and meatloaf meditations for
your ongoing care of her faithful d-pet self. I've been there, done
that.....to felines. My sympathy to you and your son.

Well, the only upside is you don't have an additional illness to worry
about. Soothing and strengthening purrs on the way.

Jeanne, I'm so sorry to hear that. Mega purrs coming that the rest of her
life is good, quality time (I already know she's very much loved).

Hugs,

I'm so sorry to hear that. Purrs for her to hang in there for a long
time yet.

Purrs for Sandy and for you. And I hope that the transition to sub-Q
fluids, when it does take place, happens smoothly.
