lol! I love #3, too, but boy, I can relate to #1. When we took in
Merlyn, I thought "seven cats? No way!" But I wanted to make sure she was okay, and had enough cash flow at the time to do all the deworming, testing, defleaing, demiting, and spaying. By the time I was done, I was thinking "Geez, as much as we've spent on this cat, I'm gonna *keep* her!" lol! (Wanted to, anyway). Next time, I'm adopting one from a shelter. Cheaper, and no tearing my hair out worrying about recovery from a spay! Ginger-lyn Me, too. You know, people are always complaining about the $70 adoption fee. It's a bargain! They get a spayed cat with shots and dewormed, tested for feleuk. . If you pick up a "free" kitten, all that costs over $200. I'd go with the shelter cats every time too. You're doing better than me, though. My absolutely personal limit here is four cats. Any more, and I just can't keep up. I sure admire people who can. The only reason I can keep Biskit is because Jack died last summer, leaving slot #4 open. Sherry |
