Cat pulling out her fur

I have a tiny 17 year old siamese. About a month ago she started pulling
out tufts of fur. She just sits down and grabs her fur and starts tearing
it out. She doesn't seem to be sick and so far no bald spots. Any ideas on
what could be causing this? The vet said a food allergy but she's been on
the same food for years.

I'd sure have a cat that age tested for thyroid levels. Fur pulling can be a
sign and it can be controlled.

I'd sure have a cat that age tested for thyroid levels. Fur pulling can be a

It may be stress. Has there been any recent changes like moving, new people
around, etc?
