Dear Marina...

I don't know what to say, except how sorry I am that so beloved a fellow
as Frank has left your life. I know from all the posts over the past
year or so I've been here how special he was, and how this group has all
smiled collectively over his adventures. We who read of him are all a
little poorer for his passing, for one less collective smile; but you
most of all, for how you must have loved him! And how kind your vet, to
come to you to give both of you the kindest gift of all: a gentle
passing for dear Frank, and dignity for you both. Please know that you
have done the most humane and most courageous thing you could do, for no
one who loves a living being would allow him to suffer; and it is a
mighty courage, to give up his presence so that he would no longer be in
pain. He will cross the Bridge on young, strong legs, and thank his
creator for how much you loved him.
