Aggie Marble at the Getwell Spa

I've just returned from five days at the Getwell Spa. Kitty Mom told me I was going to be gone for two days as I had not been feeling good and I would be able to get some rest and relaxation away from the two boys (elephants, I tell you although Kitty Mom and Kitty Dad insist that they are still kittens). And I wouldn't miss that upstart little Lady Jane either.

I packed my comb and brush so as to keep my tabby swirls in neat order and included my Pink Passion Nose Gloss and black Nose Outliner. Those went into my belly pouch.

Wait one blankity blank minute, the Getwell Spa looks like, smells like and is the Veterinarian Clinic!!! I was tricked!!!

Dr. Inez and Tracy the Tech were there to meet me and they fussed a lot. They took some blood and fur, looked to me as each of them had plenty of their own, they didn't need any of mine.

They came back with the results of the blood test while Kitty Mom and I were talking, I was giving her a piece of my mind you better believe.

They were very confused. They said I had high values for my kid and knees. I don't have any kids and my knees are just fine thank you very much. I'd like to go home now, RIGHT NOW.

Well I didn't. Tracy took me into the Spa part, wow, it was nice. I had my own private room with my very own personal litter box, no other stupid cats like the ones that live at home running all over the place. I had my own food, no other stupid cats like the ones at home trying to eat my share first. It was nice and quiet and I slept whenever I wanted to and as long as I wanted to, no other stupid cats like the ones at home...Well you get the idea.

Dr. Inez and Tracy talked as they gave me treatments, I guess Kitty Mom forgot to request Mud Baths and Facials. They were flushing my kidney and giving me antibiotics. Since I was enjoying the Spa Experience so much and they looooooved having me there they called Kitty Mom and told her I needed to stay an additional three days.

Every day there was petting, smurgling, scritches, lovings and the kidney procedure and pills. It didn't hurt and I feel great. I'm glad to be home. Kitty Mom and I lay on the bed and I rubbed my face all over her, she's mine and Victor, Tiger, Tigger and Jane will have to find another Kitty Mom to own!

Aggie Marble

Aggie has to go back in three weeks for another blood test. When she got home she just meowed her funny head off, went all through the house meowing up a storm. When I was told she had to stay I was given an estimate for two days. She was kept the five days and the clinic honored the two day estimate price. I'm glad to have her home again, it was lonely without her and at her age of 15 years I was very, very concerned.

Charleen, glad that God created cats.

I'm glad it was a nice place for her, and that she seems to be better.
I'm sure that five days lasted forever for you!

It was a long five days as I didn't visit her. The vets explain that you
can but usually the pet thinks their person is there to take them home and
when that doesn't happen the pet becomes depressed. I didn't want that for
her so I just called every day. She is very happy to be home now!

Thank you. She is doing great. Hopefully that will continue. Aggie is a
strange cat (former feral and has issues) and we're delighted to see her
feeling well and being "happy."

Thank you Marina. I can't get over how well she is now. She apparently has
been having kidney problems for a while and I was not aware of it because of
her years long history of inappropriate urination. I also hope the next
visit goes well.

As an aside; Victor Velcro, so much like Miranda, hadn't been himself for
about a week and I was very concerned about him also. Then yesterday he
perked right up and is just as fine as he can be. Big sigh of relief.

A good possibility Joyce. Both cats though are very singular in their
personalities. Victor Velcro seldom ever comes into the house, Aggie
Marble seldom, well never, goes out. It maybe that there was an awareness
factor; he was aware that she wasn't in the house and then that she was.
Either way they are both fine at this point in time and we are all happy
about that!!
Charleen
