I just checked it out and nothing much in the way of animals but the bug sounds really got Lucy's interest! She was checking around the back of the monitor to see if there were any interesting buggy things back there. I've yet to see any animals, other than a couple of turkey vulture looking birds. The bugs sure were noisy just now though. (4:19 Africa Time). We need to get an AfricaCam hotline going so I can see something interesting. :-) |

Other than that, I haven't seen anything either. Joy |

(I know you didn't make that phrase up - it says that right on the home page.) What's up with that? Africa is a huge continent - I'm sure it must have more than one time zone! We need to get an AfricaCam hotline going so I can see something interesting. :-) LOL! I have a friend who absolutely refuses to go out and watch for shooting stars during comet showers, because "I never see anything!" Joyce |

Maybe here, Africa is short for South Africa, which I think has only one time zone. I love watching it, even if there are no animals in view. Just the fact that the sun is shining. Finland is in the same time zone, but it's still pitch dark here at this time (6.30-ish), while the sun is shining down there. -- Marina, Miranda and Caliban. In loving memory of Frank and Nikki. I think it's probably just so we would all know what the local time was in that location and not have try to figure out which time zone it actually is. MaryL |
