Toe question
I noticed today that the little toe on Yoschi's left back leg (the toe on
the outside) is sticking up and to the right over the next toe. I wouldn't be surprised if it's broken, but he's doing everything he normally does, is happy and playful, only he doesn't allow me to touch it(but he won't let me touch his other feet too............) I seem to remember that in humans and animals not much can be done for a broken toe, and it has to heal by itself, so I wonder if he needs a vet, they always feel obliged to give a painkiller when there's nothing else they can do, even if the cat's not in pain. -- Nanny Do not meddle in the affairs of cats, for they are subtle and will pee on your computer. Bruce Graham I think you're right that nothing can be done for a broken toe. Since he seems to be happy and playful, I think I'd just let it go. Joy |

Can you call your vet and ask him/her about it maybe? I'm sure it's nothing
serious if he is as playful as always. Best wishes and purrs for Yoschi's toe to recover, -- Polonca & Soncek "Nanny" wrote in message ... I noticed today that the little toe on Yoschi's left back leg (the toe on the outside) is sticking up and to the right over the next toe. snip |

Joy well, tygra broke one of her toes this summer, but it was on a front foot. the vet splinted it, but tygra took the splint off after two weeks (brat!) she limped a little the first few days after having it off, but is fine now Kristy -- "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." - Arthur Carlson |
