Default OT Feeling Sad Today

Last night about 11 pm, a fire truck pulled up across the street, followed
by 2 AID cars and 2 police cars. When DH went out to ask what was going on,
the policeman told him our nice neighbor next door, had passed away.
Serge' was from The Ukraine, I think he was maybe 80, and was such a nice
man. On the Saturday before Mother's Day, I gave him some small windchimes
for his wife, then took my 4 wheeled walker down to check the mail, and when
I got back, there was a huge bouquet of his homegrown lilacs waiting for me.
He was such a sweet man, who spoke very little English. I have another
neighbor who works with Alzimers patients and some of the women she works
with are from The Urkraine and they will put a sympathy card together for
her (I've never met her) from us, in her native language.
This is the second person that has passed away in our 55+ trailer park in
the passed two weeks. I didn't know the other lady.
I'm sorry, I'm just sitting here in tears.
RIP Serge'

We say goodby a lot this time of day.

The sun is going down; the shadows grow too long.

We knew the day would end but still,

We say goodby too much this time of day.

I did that when my beloved Aunt Francis passed away but it has been
applicable too many time over the years.

Kyla, I am so sorry for your pain. It is hard to lose someone you know.

I don't mean to make light of your pain but, you gave me my cardiovascular
work out for the day. There Is a Serge on our other group and somehow, I
focused on the name before reading the message!

Also, at my age I hate to hear anyone 55+ that has died, too close to home
for comfort.

Granby, I'm sorry about your cardiovascular workout, didn't mean to scare
you.
Yeah it is hard to lose someone you know, who was so nice. And I know what
you mean about the other thing too. Too close for comfort, right you are.
And dealing with with having both kinds of the flu hasn't helped either
Thank you for your kind words.
Love you
