Default Throwing up and low WBC

We have heard tonight that the kitten we found a home for last year,
Ringo, is sick.

He suddenly started throwing up quite a bit. He is lethargic. The vet
took a blood test and everything appears fairly normal except for a low
white blood cell count.

Ringo is inside-only and lives with another healthy cat. He does have
some neurological problems, mainly being low vision. We believe the
stray mother had distemper when pregnant.

Ringo is just over one year old and neutered.

Any ideas? She can't think of anything new or any chemicals, etc. he
could have gotten into. The vet does not believe he has pancreatitus. He
is going in for an x-ray tomorrow for possible other casues.

Thanks,

Rhonda

My cat started throwing up a lot and also has low WBC. Turns out he has
an ulcer kinda problem. The throw up is very bubbly. The WBC turns out
nothing to worry about we've been monitoring it and he's just one of
those cats taht will have low wbc all the time. Sometimes when they
just get over a virus the WBC goes low too. Check for Leukemia.
Good luck! Jacquie

Thanks, Jacquie. That's encouraging to know that it doesn't have to be
something horrible and fatal. I hope Ringo is as lucky as your cat!

I will pass along your info to Ringo's new mom.

Thanks again,

Rhonda
