Nutro recall ??

I usually give Amber and Tiger a little dry food at lunch time as a
treat. I have been using Nutro. Today I went into the pet store to get
another bag. The clerk told me that they didn't want to sell me Nutro
because there was a recall and the FDA was investigating Nutro. Instead
she gave me a large bag of Innova - FREE. Both cats seem to like it.
She suggested I dump the rest of the Nutro.

Did she say what the problem was with it?
I only use Whiskas & Felix products for Boyfriend, and none are sourced from
China as they seem to think its OK to contaminate animal food with melamine
so it seems ok with protein.
Don't start me on China, hundreds of pets died because they put melamine in
the food and it gave them kidney failure,

I would not touch anything that came from China. Ever.

a voluntary recall of select varieties of NUTRO® NATURAL CHOICE®
COMPLETE CARE® Dry Cat Foods and NUTRO® MAX® Cat Dry Foods with "Best
If Used By Dates" between May 12, 2010 and August 22, 2010. The cat
food is being voluntarily recalled in the United States and ten
additional countries. This recall is due to incorrect levels of zinc
and potassium in our finished product resulting from a production
error by a US-based premix supplier.

I had read about the recall but the bag I was using was not within the
dates listed. Regardless, I will now use the Innova since the cats seem
to like it.
