Default OT my last year journey Good news

Well been over a year since my surgery. I started at 419 on that day but
lost about 15 pounds before the surgery not counted in the 90 pound lost.

Very good news So far 90 pounds plus lost that is 25% of my body weight
gone. Been maintaining that weight loss since April ankle accident still
recovering about 60% back. Still got about 2-3 months to be back to normal
I hope.

Back walking up to 3.35 miles in an hour at level 15 on the treadmill (
equal to walking up a highway inclement) burning 1100+ calories 3-7 times a
week. I work upper body twice a week total weight lifted would be about
1500 pounds added together. Can't wait for my ankle to be healed so I can
start my lower body workout and walking farther pushing harder.

I have some very nice definitions in my arms and some solid leg muscles now.
Enough If I flex I feel real solid muscle ;-)

When from a waist size 68 to 54-56 Chest size 66 down to I think a 56 or
55. Want to be a 52 again so I can ride rollercoaster's.

My Body mass was a 58 now a 46

He did an adjustment on the band since I am at a weight loss plateau ; which
made the pouch from an 8 ounce to about 6.5 ounce. It has been over 8
months since my last adjustment. I am in the top 5% of people that lose as
much as a gastric by pass patient.

My diabetes is very under control. Went from a total of 12 pills not
including my migraine medication in the morning and 8 at night. To 2 in the
day and one at night. Plus I take vitamin supplements and cinnamon regiment.
Sugars are at 105-109 where in the high 150's. My AC was at 5.9 still there
but it was 6.7 before the surgery. Kidneys are back to 100% fully
functioning no sign of problems. I am back on a medium dose common diabetic
medication instead of facing insulin injections multiple times a day.

Best thing is they got that out H. pylori bacteria out of my system for
good. No more stomach dropping from anything I eat. If I don't lose any
more weight that problem that plagued me for 10 plus years is gone for good.
No sign of cancer from it on the last exam. very good thing since it
is the leading cause of stomach cancer.

I physically feel so much better and I can say I am feeling much better
about myself in appearance. I am still a big guy I may need surgery to
remove the apron effect of the weight loss in the future but it will be
worth it to stay alive and feel better.

One day One step at a time :-)

What a great update. I'm so glad your health is much better, especially
the diabetes which can cause so many problems. Keep up the good work -
it's worth it.

what a fantastic post! Well Done!!!

I'm so glad you're feeling better and that your ankle is getting better
too.

Judith

As someone who has fought the battle of the bulge for many years, AND is a
diabetic, the only thing I can tell you is that dropping your a1c from 6.7
to 5.9 is FANTASTIC. I won't even discuss your terrific weight loss, which
can't have been easy.

One question: what is the cinnamon regimen?

Best wishes for continued success,

Jay

Congratulations! You have made a lot of progress, and I know it can't have
been easy to do. To me, one of the best parts of your post is your obvious
determination to keep on exercising and working toward even more
improvement. As our Aussie friends would say, Good onya!

Adding cinnamon supplements on twice a daily basis has shown to help with
sugar level according to ADA studies for type 2 diabetics
