Default there are somedays I hate people

Well the husband came in and dropped off the cat. I took the cat out back
as he didn't want to stay for it. (thank goodness) and I took the "feral"
cat out of the carrier and hugged it. She was obviously stressed, but she
was by no means feral. I gave her kisses and set her up in a cage out back.
We went and told the owner that the cat was fine. He went and looked, and
she was, so now she's at the shelter awaiting a new home.

I don't quite understand. Did you tell the owner you didn't euthanize the cat?
