I Was Robbed This Afternoon!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry. Those ****ers! (Sorry, no spoilers for them.) How awful
to lose that much money. I know it's only "things", but money's what we
live on, and you *needed* that. What horrible luck to be robbed just as
you were carrying that.

I agree about the voicemail messages, though. You should be able to
retrieve those, at least. And I hope you get some of your other stuff
back soon. Lots of people do. And I know what a pain it is to have to
cancel all your cards and get new ones, but at least once you're done,
you're done.

For many years I wore a waist pack, which I kept positioned over my
left hip so I could see it at all times. It became a part of my body
when I was outside. I couldn't be purse-snatched unless they took me
with it! Finally I decided that the waist pack was ruining my personal
feng shui, so I switched to a shoulder bag. That would be easier to
snatch than the waist pack, but since it goes over head and crosses my
body (like MMJ was saying), it would still be harder to take than a
purse I'd hold in my hand or over one shoulder. Just some ideas for
when you get a replacement bag.

I will be happy to help donate toward your vet bill! Victor, are you

I Gotta calm down...getting a BAD migraine...can't have one...got to take
my other kitty to vet in the morning for tests...Who knows how I'll pay for
that... Prayers and purrs PLEASE!!! that the vet will cut me some slack and
let me have some more replacement meds and let me float on the kitty's
bills..... Damn! I really HATE people sometimes!!!!!!!!

Purrs and prayers on the way! That really sucks! I never put my bag in
the shopping basket (as too many people do - even leaving them
unattended while they shop two aisles away). I always use a shoulder
bag, worn diagonally across my body (even had some with steel cable in
the straps, when I traveled to Europe). I started wearing it diagonally
after a friend of my mom's, walking down a street in her neighborhood,
had her shoulder bag neatly lifted from her shoulder with a bent
coat-hanger by a boy on a bicycle.

If a thief is really determined, no amount of precautionary measures
will prevent the theft, but I figure if I make it tricky enough for
them, they'll choose another target.

Any chance that someone knew you happened to be carrying a lot of cash and
targeted you? I'd make sure to mention if you cashed a check somewhere or
who might have been around when you got the money or had it out. The
police I'm sure already wondered that.

That is a pretty bold robbery if they didn't have reason to believe it
would be worth their while.

Purrs and prayers will be ongoing that you can de-stress.

Also that the 'perps' get what they really and truly have coming to them.

OMG! That is horrible. I can't imagine how upset you must have been - what
a scary thing to have happen!

Purrs coming that you at least find your purse - be sure to check out
dumpsters in the area (but be careful and bring someone with you to do it).

I was thinking, if she had that much money, someone may have seen her cash
the check, there was a car waiting to pick the person up that stole the
purse. Hope thee were cameras in the parking lot and maybe where she cased
the check or, collected the money. Maybe someone can see a connection with
propel.

Dang, this is awful! I'm so sorry! What a PITA to get everything back,
not to mention that it's expensive. I hate to hear this crap. Purrs that
you're able to get everything back (including the pills) without too much
of a hitch.
