Attack Of The Doves!!!!!!!!!

Normally, when Winter arrives, I put up my plexiglass top gate, so the
neighborhood critters can come on the front porch to get warm and sleep( I
have a heater on there as well) but the garage "swallowed" the
hinges:-(...soooo, until I could get to the hardware store...I put up a
heavy clear plastic sheet......aghhhhhhh...I came in from work a bit ago(
it's way dark outside)...I lifted up plastic and was attacked by doves,
doves, LOTS of doves who decided to roost on the porch...I barely got in the
house...besplattered with dove sh*t and loose feathers!!!!!

I just went back out to gather up all the stuff I dropped when I was
attacked...only to find, more doves had come in...I battled my way to the
gate... opened it and tried shooing the birds out...much to the dismay of my
kitties watching from the windows...I've left the gate open for now, turned
the heater off...hopefully, they all will leave...or else they will find
themselves dinner for the critters...!!!

Note to Self Remember to close gate later and GET HINGES tomorrow!!!

What is a "top gate"?

A Dutch door...A door that can have the top half removed in the Summer, re
hung and slide bolted to the bottom half in Winter...usually solid wood but
