Default kittens

We have not had any kittens for ages, so we were delighted to welcome 4
babies on the 13 th. It was the first litter for Mary-anne, she is a
chocolate Oriental variant. She was mated to a chocolate Oriental long hair
male, she had a quick easy birth. We have a choc Oriental long hair female,
a short hair choc Oriental female, a lilac Oriental long hair male, and a
choc point Balinese male. All are doing well, Mary-anne was confused at
first, but soon settled down with her family.
Variants are the short haired children of a Balinese or Oriental long hair
to a Siamese or Oriental. When mated to a long haired, they have some long
haired and some short haired (variants ) roughly half of each. The reason
for this mating is to improve the type, colour, or for an outcross. The
kittens have a full pedigree.
No photos for some time, flash is not good for their eyes, and I don't
want to upset Mary-anne at this stage. The kittens are really cute and are
just beginning to play.
