I just had an idea, but it might be too late for this year. What if someone
who didn't live in the U.S. were to address and seal their cards, then send
all the U.S.-bound cards in one box to a friend in the U.S.? Then the
person in the U.S. could just put a 37-cent stamp on each card, which sends
up to 1 ounce (28.4g) anywhere within the U.S., and drop them in any local
mailbox. The "foreigner" could also include some form of currency or other
items with the box of cards to cover the cost of the U.S. stamps. Does this
make any sense? Would this save any money?
