Default to wary to trap twice?

if a cat is caught once in a havahart trap.....and released.....
will it be so wary on subsequent revisits that it can never be caught again
in the same type of trap?

any thoughts appreciated.

It's a shame we can't trap Muffin and ship him/her off to the pound for
similar treatment as Muffin described in rec.pets.cats.rescue

Agreed, although I suspect the treatment described was pure fiction.

Cats can be caught multiple times. They are stupid animals with little
or no memory, just like you muffin/topsider.

I can't imagine even a disreputable pound behaving like that.

We having a full moon lately or something? Seems they're coming out of the
woodwork everywhere.
