I got the impression the OP was trying to get a rise out
of us. But maybe I'm just having a cynical day.

My dear Sissy cat and I have moved alot in the past few years, but I have just
moved to Tx from Wa and now she has diahrrea all the time. I don't know if it
is the water which I think stinks, but my mother doesn't, who has lived here
for 15 yrs. I have also turned her into an indoor cat from an outdoor cat.
There are too many predators around here to get her. I already lost a cat like
her years ago when I moved down here then. I also feed her an indoor dry food
formula and a hairball dry food formula as well as canned cat food. Could
someone please help me. I am on SS disability and can't afford a lot of vet
bills at this time. My mother is retired and widowed. She eats alot and all
the time, and seems to drink enough water although I don't see her drink often
enough. We have been here almost 2 yrs. now so I don't think it is stress. She
seems very happy and loves her dried catnip. She hates not going outside of
course. Thanks for any help please.

Hairball formula has a laxative effect. Perhaps you are giving her
too much, Do you brush and comb her every day? If you do this she
won't swallow so much hair and therefore won't need so much hairball
formula. Another thing -- do you give her milk? If you do, stop it.
Many years ago when we didn't know how to feed cats properly, they had
loose movements all the time. Today's good food really makes a
difference. Good luck. MLB

Eh, it happens, but it seems like the "My cat is sick! What do I do!"
posts are on par with the "Is Hartz OK?" posts. Like clockwork, and
generally speaking, well intentioned and equally uninformed.

I think in the end it's owing to the fact that everybody markets the
internet as having All The Answers Instantly - and they neglect to mention
this thing called Usenet, while a great source of information, does not
provide *instant* answers.

That was my impression also, but decided to answer anyway. She also
has a post about a 15 year old cat with dislocated hips. Nowhere does
she mention Veterinary care. However our sensible answers may help
others with the same problems.

Thank you all for your input on my cats. I have given them both good vet care
for years, it has just been recent in the past 2 years that I have not been
able to afford it. I was just hoping that someone else might have dealt with
this before. In saying that I just moved here, I mean that ever since we moved
here she has had the problem. Like I said she has gone from outside kitty to
inside kitty. Both of my cats are very happy. I will get her to the vet.
Thanks all so much for the love and the support.
