You need to find a safe way to get rid of the fleas quickly. If you
don't, the fleas will take so much blood from the kittens that they will
die.

Absolutely. Flea anemia can kill a newborn kitten very fast. The OP might
check the color of thekittens' mouths and make sure they aren't anemic already.
