Default Avast, ye swabbies!

Forsooth! The time is nigh! The pirate kitties are preparing to go to
their treasure island soon.

I'm reminded of when I was a kid and my cousins and I used to play
pirates out on the island. We explored the 'deep, dark jungle' and we
went on treasure hunts and we camped out. We even made a Jolly Roger.
Ah, we were wild little things in the summers out on the island. When we
got hot we just stripped and jumped into the sea.

Anyway, my holiday starts on Friday and we'll hopefully be able to leave
on Monday, weather permitting. It is rainy and windy today, but it may
change by next week. I'm hoping to hitch a ride with my brother so I
won't have to listen to Caliban cry all through a 3-4-hour bus trip.
It's much faster by car, and not a whole busload of people to annoy. We
went by bus last year, and Caliban didn't stop for one minute of that ride.

Last year, Miranda remembered the place immediately. We'll see if
Caliban does this year, or if he hides under the pillows on my bed for
the first hour, like he did last year. I'm so looking forward to
watching my cats play on the island again. My niece is there with Kasper
and Emil, so there may be some interesting confrontations.

Have a great holiday!!! I envy you so much... I wish there was an
island nearby where we could take the gang on holiday. Come to think of
it, they do cry non-stop when in the carrier, so maybe it's not such a
good idea for them to travel.

I can just imagine you and Tom on a several hour bus and boat trip with all
of the gang in carriers.

Great! wishing you an uneventful trip and a wonderful time in your little
corner of paradise - looking forward to new pics!
I'm up at my parents but still working so Thea & Bono have not been to the
lake yet, just enjoying their veranda here. We, unlike other parts of the
country and the rest of Burope, have not had any of the pouring rain so cats
are also going for walkies around the house. Lovely Midsummer time, lush,
green and nights with enough light to play boule outside around midnight
without any artificial lighting - it's summer for sure.
had a good time!

I hope that he'll be good friends with Emil. I think that the three
of them would be very friendly if they were together year round.

Have a wonderful vacation! And I really hope you can get a ride rather
than having to take the bus (but purrs and earplugs for your brother if
you do ).

Relax, enjoy, take pictures, and then post them when you return!
