Oblivious

I always thought of cats as being totally aware of their surroundings,
even when asleep. Well, this morning Maryweather was meatloafing on
the cat shelf at the north kitchen window - perhaps she was planing
her next hunt, but whatever, she was totally imersed in her own
thoughts ... and totally oblivious to the hummingbirds at the feeder
outside the window ... eight inches from her head. Sure, it's a
double-pane window, but hummingbirds are *loud* - she just about *had*
to have heard them.

She's a cat. They only do what they wanna do, they only hear what they
wanna hear, they only see what they wanna see!

Maybe she was fooling them into thinking she didn't care so she could
surprise them another day! hehe
