Default What's with Amber?

Amber is 14 years old. She eats, poops and sleeps a lot on her heated
window seat. She almost never meows. This morning she was following me
around and meowing a lot. She was also rubbing her face on everything
(I don't hold to the theory that this is marking territory). When I
asked her what was up she just meowed some more. I wonder if Ike came
back from the bridge for a visit. Now she is back on her window seat
resting peacefully. I don't understand her.

I she hasn't been to the vet lately, I'd consider taking her for a check up.
14 years old is a senior citizen and there could be a number of things
causing a problem. Loud and frequent meowing is sometimes inidicative of
thyroid trouble or kidney failure.

Purrs coming your way that she was just seeking attention and not ill.

Hugs,

CatNipped

Ahem....OR if you got a meezer or part-meezer bloodline in her.
Moosker
bellows all through the place like a card-carrying Siamese (which she
is
half-card-carrying).

================================================== =====

Well, yes, there's that. Is Amber Siamese?

Still, if she's 14 and hasn't had a vet visit in a while, any unusual
behavior should warrant a visit to the vet. Better safe than sorry (I'm a
belt *and* suspenders type of gal)! ;

Has she been to the Vet lately? When Piglet did that, the rub everything
she passed, she had the beginning of a tooth problem. Just watch and, if it
happens again, maybe a trip to the Vet wouldn't be a bad idea, she ain't no
spring chicken anymore. Purrs for her to be ok.

The "situation" only lasted about ten minutes. Then she went back to
her window seat and has been fine ever since. I avoid vet trips because
they stress her out tremendously. Although I don't know her lineage,
Amber is an orange female.

At least she can still get up on the
window sill, as can Moosker, who is 15
these days. The half-blind boy can't
jump very well

Amber gets up to her window seat by using two sub-woofers as steps. She
doesn't jump much now (but she can jump up on my bed). She is somewhat
lame but the Cosequin supplement has helped that quite a bit.

So true. I'll overlook your present state of residence and assume you
don't mean "gunbelt". I've seen a few worn here and assume, right or
wrong, that "everything is bigger in TX". It was a shock seeing it for
first time and I thought,"hey, this ain't no cowboy movie; you're not
in FL anymore." LOL.

Well, the laws here say it has to be concealed, so no belt holsters! ;
