Default For Mookie Wilson

Pet was never mourned as you,
Purrer of the spotless hue,
Plumy tail, and wistful gaze
While you humoured our queer ways,
Or outshrilled your morning call
Up the stairs and through the hall--
Foot suspended in its fall--
While, expectant, you would stand
Arched, to meet the stroking hand;
Till your way you chose to wend
Yonder, to your tragic end.

Our baby has joined his siblings Spenser and Kirby Puckett at RB. They
were very gentle with him, and wrapped him in his furry golden woobie
before they took him away. His ashes we will pick up in a week or so.

Godspeed, my little guardian angel.

And bless all of you great folks for helping me make a difficult
decision and knowing it was the right thing to do - and for the
wonderful support you provide on so many levels. I'll be back here at
some point, but right now I've got to calm my heart down, as it feels
as though it's going to jump from my chest at any minute.

Love to you all,

Mare (the catless... for a while) and Ray

I am so very sorry Mare that you had to make the ultimate sacrifice of
love and send Mookie on his journey to the Bridge. We shall light a
candle tonight to help guide him on his journey. Purrs and gentle
headbutts for you and your DH as well. May your grief soon turn to
happier memories of the time you shared with Mookie.

I have all sorts of candles to light our beloved ones path to the RB. I
have lit a pine-scented one for Mookie tonight.

Purrs for his safe passage, and for your heart. Mookie Wilson is a
splendid name. 1986!

A beautiful tribute, Mare. I'm so sorry for your loss. I have a lovely
vanilla candle I will light for Mookie.

I'm so sorry for your loss. (

I can tell, from having read your prior posts (after seeing this thread),
that you've done everything humanly possible to keep Mookie comfortable
and happy for as long as you possibly could.

It's heartbreaking when we reach that point when we KNOW we can't buy any
more quality time than we've already done. Most people who post here have
been through that, including me. And those of us who haven't been there
YET most likely will face the same realization someday with one of our own
fur kids.

Purrs and purr-ayers of condolence to you and your family. You make sure
Mookie was aware that he's loved and well-taken-care of for his entire
life. That's the best any human can do.

Donna, Captain, and Stanley
