Default I'm staaaaarving!

Miranda goes in for her snip today, and she didn't get any breakfast.
Now usually, she saunters over to her plate an hour or two after feeding
time and takes a few nibblesof food like, "OK, if you insist, I'll have
a little taste." But now that there is no food on offer, she screams at
me all the time, and has been ever since I fed Frank. Still, she doesn't
go after his food. It is catfood, after all, and not fit for a little
princess' delicate palate.

In a way, it's working out quite well that she won't eat catfood,
because now I can mix Frank's meds into his food and never worry that
Miranda will eat it. I tried to give her some of Frank's kibble last
night, but she just sniffed it, then ignored it. Luckily, she views her
supplement pill as a treat.

I sympathize with Miranda. I'm having an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy
tomorrow, so I've been fasting all day. I'm just about to take my second
dose of Fleet phosphate. Yum!

Thank you, Adrian. I may get some sleep tonight, but I know I'll sleep
while they're doing the tests.

The really nasty stuff is that stuff you have to drink. I can hardly
keep it down.

You're right - and you have to drink so much of it, too. It's bad enough
the first time, but when you have to drink it again 5 hours later, it's
almost impossible to get it down.

Fortunately, that's all behind me now, and the results of the test were very
good. I had the same tests nine months ago, and the doctor had found
possibly worrying things in both areas. However, this time, that wasn't the
case, which should mean I can wait at least a year before going through this
again.
