Baha - Singh Purr Request
The (below) message is from Liz, to all on the board.
-- Christopher A. Young You can't shout down a troll. You have to starve them. .. Hi everyone, First of all, many thanks to Chris for his concern, and for coming out to look after us Monday. He brought me some printouts of your respones, and you all are the next but not the least to thank, for all your expressions of concern for me and Louie and the babies. The cats have been better sports than we've been and have been our little comforter sand cheerleaders. They've snugggled and purred and kneaded and played and distracted us from our excile from modern conveneiences these five days. We're sore from cleaning up and hungry after geing delayed our paychecks for five days. Our money before today (monday) went to feed the cats. Friends lent us their showers, their couches for football games (for much of the city was powered up in only hours) and their groceries. Chris, thang you for the groceries too; and my friends Dennis and Nancy who helped look after us. Half an oak tree in our back yard just splintered off and pulled down the lines that power our block. It will be a few days beore we have our juice again. God only knows when we'll have our phone. Louie just bought me a cell phone today after threatinging or organize a sit in to get his check. I still havn't been paid and I don't know when I'll be back to work. I checked at the law firm and ran into he boss, Dan, checking on the power (still off). This wonderful man who hardly knows me handed me a hundred dollar bill and just said pay him back when I got paid. I'm not even a full employee yet. Dan not only deserves thanks, he deserves a medal. So we're recovering, cleaning the damage, and getting back to living. It has been a blessing in its odd ways - our neighbors have been come real neighbros and we are reminded that we must take care of one another. And I might have been with Louie and the cats in the dark but we've got each other. and there's a lot of love going on. I will gladly trade my check and all the inconveniences for all the good things that we are reminded of. A lot of tree and power damage but no structural damage, and we're here, we're alive and okay. Thanks to everyone who's sent purrs prayers, and their good thoughts to us and our poor burried Buffalo, because they've worked. the sun is out. Our ISP is down so I'll be away for awhile, but I'll be back when the power's back. Blessed be Baha Many thanks again |
