Wish Me Luck

I'm taking Ernie into the vet this morning. He's been acting lethargic
since yesterday, walking a little funny in his backlegs. Maybe I'm just
being paranoid, but I'm not taking any chances! I'm worried about
blockage...

Ernie is staying at the vet for the day. He had a 105.6 temp and was a
bit dehydrated. They're giving his some sub-q fluids and running some
tests - liver, kidney, Felv & FIV, etc.. to see what they can find out.
I hope it's just a kitty cold. I'm trying not to worry too much, but
it's hard.

Ernie is staying at the vet for the day. He had a 105.6 temp and was a
bit dehydrated. They're giving his some sub-q fluids and running some

It may well be the same "fever of unknown origin" that gave my Sebbie a
$400 weekend at the hospital two (three?) years ago. He came home
bright-eyed and bushy tailed, and I didn't have the heart to scold him for
scaring me or emptying my wallet. Poor little sniggle-bits! ;-)

The vets at the hospital all think he's a very well-mannered cat because
he's so scared he'll let them do anything. He was feral kitten who
would punch me but never use his claws.

him a snuggle

Good luck. Last Christmas one of our cats was just not acting right--lethargic,
mainly. Nothing specific, but since she is normally an exuberant cat, I could
tell something was wrong. It's always better to let the vet have a look in that
case, I think. She was eventually diagnosed with a mild case of pancreatitis
which had long cleared up by the time the test results came back (that test
takes several weeks to get the results). I'm sure with Ernie it will turn out
to be something easy to treat as well.
