Funny you should say that. I could never hear the accents of singers
who came from countries outside the USA. They all did sound like they
had American accents.

hear a lot of that in the media in the US, and I don't know any people
from New Zealand (who I know in person, that is, and can actually *hear*

Mikey's internist was from New Zealand, and I couldn't place his
accent. I was listening to him, thinking "Australia? No, that's not
it." I couldn't get past thinking it was an Australian accent, though
I knew it wasn't quite. It bugged me until I looked at the referral
clinic's website. :-)

here where I live that we don't have basements. Or cellars, even.
