Guess what this is?
1 pound white fish fillet
2 Tbs. mince parsley water (as needed) 2 Tbs. butter 2 Tbs. flour 1 c. milk 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese 1-1/2 c. cooked rice Place the fish in a lightly greased baking dish. Sprinkle with parsley and maybe a dash of salt & pepper. Add enough water to just cover the bottom of the dish. Bake at 450F for 10 minutes until the fish flakes with a fork. Remove from the oven and let cool. Cut the fish into strips and then chop it fine. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the flour and stir until mixed; stir in the milk, then the cheese, over medium heat. When the mixture has thickened, stir in the chopped fish and the cooked rice. Let the mixture cool. Cat Food? Sounds like something I'd like a lot of! LOL Jill -- I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off. |

That's catfood?! What a lot of work to make... sometimes I don't go to
that much trouble for our dinner Though given Scout and Silver's contrary nature, they'd turn their furry little noses up at it and say 'we're not eating that muck - it's got RICE in it!' ~Karen aka Kajikit Crafts, cats, and chocolate - the three essentials of life http://www.kajikitscorner.com *remove 'nospam' to reply |

I found it on the Web some years ago when I was looking for recipes to cook for my elderly dog. I couldn't quite believe it, either Jill |
