Anyway, belated purrs for Smokey. He was probably no older than two or
three. He did have at least one baby though. One of the two cats that
I didn't catch for TNR looks just like him. Very very feral though,
about the worst on the block. I'm going to get him this spring I hope,
but with regret because he is so pretty and his babies would likely be
also. Of course, they're all so cute, but Smokey more than most. I
miss having him come around.

I'm so sorry, Purrs for the hole he left in your heart. It sounds like
he may have been a Russian Blue, at least partially, like my Miranda:

Yes, his eyes were slanted so he had a very exotic look but that is
pretty much what he looked like. Russian Blue.

He was one of the outdoor cats that sometimes came to my front door
for feeding. Not as regularly as Jet and Baby, but fairly often.
Mostly he hung out in the backyards. He was very pretty, blue-grey
with a face like a fox. Peaked ears and sort of slanted eyes. He was
on my short list for cats that I might take in but I just had no room
for any more cats. Plus, while I could sometimes touch him while he
was eating, he was still pretty feral and Espy would have been really
****ed off at another aggessive male in the house.

I'm so sorry. I think we'd have all adored Smokey. He sounds like a
really adorable friend to have.
