Purrs and candles please, for one gone to the Bridge
Monique Y. Mudama wrote:
I've mentioned that my therapist has two cats, one of whom (Yin) is always with me during therapy. The other one, Baby, was older, frailer, and more shy. I never met her because she stayed upstairs, at least when company was around. My therapist brought Baby to the vet to help her to the Bridge a couple of weeks ago. It was a particularly difficult decision because she had to leave the country for a charity trip right afterwards, but it was time for Baby to go. This left my therapist no time to grieve, and Baby was her special cat. Baby was vocal (I believe she was a siamese), and she would streeetch out so that my therapist could rub her belly. She even reports that Baby would let her hold her little paws when they went to sleep at night. The vet office sent my therapist a card saying that she did the right thing, but obviously that doesn't make the loss of a beloved companion any easier. Please light candles for Baby, and send purrs for this amazing woman. Lots and lots of purrs, Polonca and Soncek |
