It was at least 3 months until it was perfectly normal again, but it was
reasonably ok in 2 months. Poor Dennis, he'll just never have that
smooth and shiny look ;-) I don't mind, when I was little, my mom used
to tell me that men without hair on their chest aren't real men anyway!
LOL!

DH Janne is of the furry kind too, and I like him that way.

And when it comes to taking it off, not that Janne ever has tho, but if
he had to, I don't think we'd try to shave it with a razor. I was just
wondering while reading this thread, if the sprayable foams for women's
legs would work on chest hairs too? We have a brand called Veet here in
Finland and I noticed they have a global website http://www.veet.com/.
Aha! There IS Veet for men too!

Wow, you have good memory, knowing my age!

I've talked about dying my hair often (also about shaving my head
bald), but I've done little about it. I don't know -- maybe I really
would if I wouldn't have to bleach my hair first for optimum results.
Maybe not, though. I hate how my hair turns to straw when I bleach
it. I have good hair, dammit -- no point in killing it like that.

Persis Khambatta looked very sexy as the bald Lieutenant Ilia in, Star
Trek: The Motion Picture. Obviously you were just a baby when that was
released in 1979 but it has been on television plenty of times over the
years.

Heh, I think you actually just recently mentioned it. But I'm good with
numbers anyway.

Sometimes I think that I'd like to have platinum blond hair, in my old,
very short style. But I'd hate to have to bleach it like that, it's
supposed to be very painful.
Found out today that the general manager of the winery where I'm now
working wants to portray a funky youthful vibe and is actually actively
pursuing the hiring of people with funky hair colours and cuts and
various piercings. Eeek! I guess I got hired because he's been away on
a business trip the whole time. I will meet him for the first time next
week. Even though I have only got the regulation pierced ears and no
funky hair colour, I'll make sure to wear my most funky outfit and
jewellery ;-)

I've seen shaved-headed women who looked sexy. I think, though, that
you need to be extremely lean in the face for it to work.

I don't know about very painful ... it's been a few years, but I seem
to recall it was a bit annoying, not extremely painful.

I think you can have a youthful or fun vibe without requiring crazy
colors and piercings. Anyway, while I'm not familiar with wineries,
every coffee shop has mostly funky young kids, but also a couple of
adults of the type that are cool, but don't need to dress a certain
way to be so =)

When I first began to grey, I was still singing (so wanted
to appear as young as possible). Fortunately I didn't look
my age (still don't, reportedly), so managed just fine for
ten years or so. By the time the grey became a little
difficult to cover, I had abandoned hopes of a professional
career, so it no longer seemed to matter. (And I'd far
rather have had people comment upon how young I was to be
grey than be shocked because the lines in my face didn't
really go with the youthful haircolor.)
