My three year old son was given a gingerbread house for Christmas once.
While we were asleep, the cat got into it, and ate it..!!
The cat survived, but my son was very upset....so his aunt made him another
one! which we hid from pussy's view!(s)

Does anyone know if gingerbread is safe for cats to eat? I am going to be
making gingerbread cookies and I know my cats will be curious because they
are always interested in what is being made in the kitchen. This will be

the
first time I'll be baking gingerbread cookies so I know all 3 cats will
wonder into the kitchen when they are being baked.

Hi,
Chocolate is bad for cats, someone else may be able to tell you the
ingredient in it that's poisonous to cats. But it is bad for them.
Sorry to say.
JudyG.

Yes, I know. I was making the cookies for *humans* not cats. My point was
that I was baking cookies and my cats couldn't have cared less.

Hi Kelly,

Ok...glad you weren't giving it to pussy.
You must be sick of these replies saying it's poisonous to them. Sorry, I
thought it was important to be said, just in case!(s)
Have a happy Christmas,
JudyG
