Default morning wakeup

Since I started my new job, I have to get up at 5:45am. I have one of those
dual alarms that first plays music and I have a shut-up button that I always
hit, and then it starts to buzz after 15 more minutes plus playing the
music. It is so aggravating.

No matter what, at least 5 minutes before this racket starts in the am,
Casey is 2 inches from my face. He just is there and I can feel his hairy
body. I open my eyes and he is staring straight into them.

If I pull the covers over, he paws and paws and paws at my head.

He is such a bugger that there is no way to oversleep.

The worst part is, he does this on weekends too.

LOL, you'll have to have the vet install the 7 day alarm option.

Cali used to be pretty good about the wake up business. But now any time
after 2:00 am is fair game.

Last night I fell asleep with the covers on and Cali sleeping on my chest,
but woke up with no covers and Smokey sleeping on my legs. Talk about some
weird dreams, I felt like I'd been on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

My guess is that after you get up you feed him/her get ready for work and go... Mine used to do that... switch his/her feeding to nighttime right before you go to bed... like around 9 - 10ish... that way there won't be a reason for the cat to be so nosey that early in the morning...

mine now sleeps on my feet...

yes yes yes

As soon as my feet hit the floor, Casey leads me to the closet where the cat
food is and sits there looking. Even if the cat food dish is still full
from the night before

.... he is into a routine.

He will poach himself at my feet so I can't take a step, and then he runs
off to the closet only if I am following. If I don't follow, he repeats
these steps.

I like your website but do you post every message from usenet there?

I'm not too inclined to post here anymore if someone is taking my posts to
create a website.

"Stan via CatKB.com" had some very interesting
things to say about morning wakeup:

That's what I do. My cat gets canned goop at night and has kibble down
all the time.

BTW, just a friendly suggestion: you might want to tell your news
software to use a shorter line length. :-)

I don't follow this - who is creating a website with your posts??
