Default Cats and New Furniture

Hi All

Last night we bought 2 large bookcases.....both 7 ft tall....anyway.....to
fit them in the house it took quite a bit of furniture rearrangement.

ANYWAY.....Gizmo was less than impressed as her "in the sun" hiding spot no
longer exists and the front window is a bit harder for her to access
(requires her to jump over a chair and around a box). So last night once the
deed had been done and we'd gone to bed we could hear her "investigating"
(we were given looks all night as if to say "and did you consult me on
this?" and "does my opinion not count anymore?")......periodically she'd
meow....I think she's daunted by the 7 ft bookcase as she can't jump to the
top of it!!! (heaven forbid).

And this morning when I got up she'd positioned herself on the only piece of
furniture that hadn't been affected by the rearrangement!!!

Fussy cats!!!!

Angela and Gizmo

P.S. The bookcases are wonderful.....more crap on them now and less on the
carpet!!!

Reminds me of an incident with Bunter years back. We were remodeling our
kitchen, and had moved the table and chairs to a different part of the room
temporarily. Bunter kept walking around the table, giving us a look, and
then parking himself in the spot where the table used to be.

Obviously, he was telling us, "this is where this belongs - now move it
back!"

LOL Little Bit is another one who is put off by anything new, or
anything old not being where she expects it to be.

LOL! Thanks for the laugh, Angela. Cats are so conservative, aren't they?

Only 7 foot? The top of my kitchen cabinets is around 9 foot
off the floor and Apache can get to the top in one bound.

How remiss of you to purchase new furniture without consulting the head of
the household.;-)
