Bruiser and the toad
I lost sight of Bruiser last night, happens all the time. I don't stare
at him all night. I check for him every five minutes or so. Of course he was not where he was supposed to be and he had found something wonderful and strange, a toad. A really big toad actually. The toad seemed pretty unconcerned about having a kitten bouncing all around him and Bruiser was totally confused about what to do with it aside from being sure he wanted to keep it. He would paw at it, he would excitedly bounce all around it, he would lay down on top of it. The toad would sit there like a stoic and then take three hops and squat down low. Bruiser would repeat the whole thing again. After a few times I picked Bruiser up and took him back to where he belonged. For the rest of the night Bruiser would try to sneak away to find the toad. Finally around 0330 I had to lock him inside. He was on the edge of Sheba's territory, the cat who had treed him, Sheba is a cat who cares about these things and Maya would not dare to go where he was treading. |

It must've been the night of the "psycho cat"....Gizmo was stalking my shoelaces last night.....then the phone cord.....would give up....briefly, then discover both again Ah, the joys!!! |
