Default OT - Pre-Op Today

Wish me luck, I'm going in for my pre-op exams today. The surgery
(out-patient, thank Bast) is Wednesday at 6PM* and I am terrified that
something will happen that will make me have to stay in the hospital - I
think I'd rather die on the table thank that! I'm not totally trusting
in my surgeon (wound specialist), my last visit (first also), he had his
nurse put silver nitrate on my wound and it not only burned off the
first few layers of skin (scar actually), it caused it to break open in
several spots as well. That might be what he intended, I've heard that
you can't heal good skin over bad - but it's caused a lot of bleeding
and had me worried all week. And I'm worried he will set me farther
back in my recovery for my next, reversal, surgery... that *has* to be
done before the first of the year if we're going to survive financially!
I know, I can read it, whine, whine, whine... but it helps to express
my worry than hold it inside and I can't do that with Ben, it upsets him
and angers him (actually anger at his feeling of helplessness).

*I hate having it so late in the day since I'll have to go all day
without eating or drinking.

Anyway, spare purrs would be very appreciated.

I have no cats yet, so I can't send any purrs, but I do extend my human
wishes for a speedy and safe exam and GOOD results.

Best of luck on your surgery. Silver has long been a treatment for
wounds . It keeps or kills infection. Had a foot ulcer once , doc did
skin graft, then treated it once week with silver for three months.
Turned bottom of my foot black as spade, but healed it fine . Sad to say
I know longer have that apandege as am BKA ( below kee amputee )

Wouldn't it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply press
'Ctrl Alt Delete' and start all over?
