OT WHAT A LAUNCH IT WAS
Matthew skrev: http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/1...n_launch-l.jpg There is a lot of interest in this in Sweden, as the first ever Swedish astronaut is out there in the space shuttle. His name is Christer Fuglesang. I hope the cats will purr a bit for him and the others to return to earth unharmed. Elisabet |

OT WHAT A LAUNCH IT WAS
"Matthew" wrote in message ... http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/1...n_launch-l.jpg Hi Matthew, We didn't get to see a people launch, but one of the biggest thrills of our trip was sitting at anchor on the water and watching the weather satellite shoot up into the air last spring. Seeing something like that live is awe inspiring. Annie |

Patti Had a curb side seat there is nothing like going to one night becomes day it was visible for over 20 minutes. The night was so clear you could see the booster separation perfectly and watch them fall. All I can say is WOW |

I know someone on another group who works there and has been snapping pics all along, inside the vehicle assembly building, and then at rollout a few weeks ago. He told me it would be a night launch but I just didn't keep my eyes peeled enough to catch it. I'm hoping to get a few good candid up-close shots though in my e-mail sometime soon. --tension |
