this one is or rather was a purebred, mom bred her once or twice, one of
the puppies could also not bark, Lee

Part Bassenji, maybe? They don't bark, just sort of whimper. (A friend
of mine had a Basenji-Beagle mix. Rascal COULD bark, but it was usually
just one warning "woof" if there were someone at the door - the rest of
the time she just "talked".


My sister has a purebred Golden Retriever that can't really bark. She
makes a funny little noise, but that's all.

that is how the dog was, she even jerked as they do when its a forceful bark
