Loud kittens
On Sun, 16 May 2004 13:06:41 -0600, Mark Edwards
yodeled: I don't know where this came from, but I thought it was really cute, and that y'all might enjoy it too. When a kitten at the Million Cats March really wants to be heard: http://home.comcast.net/~Mark-Edward...oudkittens.jpg Hugs and Purrs, Mark LOL The chanting is very tough, though. You really have to protect your voice from giving out, and it gets boring chanting the same things over and over, and you get silly. I remember one of us who was kind of a protest veteran started distributing throat lozenges when we got tired, so we started chanting "We've got lozenges! We've got lozenges!" Also, it's not uncommon to end up yelling "What do we want? Cold beer! When do we want it? Now!" During the minutes before the cars drove past, the people grew bored. One side started shouting "Less filling!" The other side, "Tastes great!" (from the old Miller Lite commercial, for those who don't remember). According to the story, this continued as the Soviet leader was driven past, resulting in a very confused visitor to our very odd shores. LOL!! (Literally - I'm sitting here laughing my ass off at that image. All cats have fled the room!) Joyce |

No cluons were harmed when Kreisleriana ! said
[snip silliness at rallies] There was a story going around in the early eighties, that when the Soviet leader (Breshnev? Gorbachev? I've forgotten) came to Washington, people were lined up on both sides of the road for a chance to see him. During the minutes before the cars drove past, the people grew bored. One side started shouting "Less filling!" The other side, "Tastes great!" (from the old Miller Lite commercial, for those who don't remember).
