Mini-update: Benny's eye
This is a small update on Benny, the cat with the cloudy eye. He's
been getting the eye drops for around 10 days now, and the discoloration that was previously there has lessened. His eye nearly looks normal, even though he can't see out of it. He's getting smart about drop time, though. He doesn't mind the drops, it's getting him to sit still that's the trouble! He doesn't like to be restrained in any way. But it's tough love, and I fight to get the drop in anyway. He's still the same energetic cat. A few times I've thrown a toy or piece of catnip on that side, and he doesn't see it, but he'll ususally *hear* it and turn his head. He goes back to the specialist on Dec. 10 for a checkup. We'll find out then how the inflammation is in the eye, and if he'll need to continue the drops. Rene |

I'm glad to hear he is showing improvement. Good luck with the drops.
Malusee and I eventually worked out a way that I could get drops in and she could pretend to fight for her dignity. : ) Alot of time I will sit cross legged on the bed or floor and put the cat between my legs, and lean over a bit, it holds them in fairly well and leaves you both hand to hold the head and the drops, or pill. jen This is a small update on Benny, the cat with the cloudy eye.
