Thanks everyone, one more question
Just want to thank everyone for the calming words about George under
the bed. Yes, he's eating well, everything is fine, he just likes chillin' under the bed. I do have another question I'd like to ask, I've bought George 16 2inch furry mice over the last 5 months, I can't find any of them. I've looked in the obvious places---under the bed, couch, stove--- and occaisionally find one but the fact is I'm missing all those mice. He's never shown signs of ill health so I don't think he ate them. Any ideas? |

When Kira was a kitten, she stole my socks. I found myself down to only 3 pairs of socks. I couldn't find them anywhere. I searched my bedroom, the laundry room, behind the couch, etc. Never found any. I finally bought a bunch more. Then, several months later, I awoke to find socks everywhere. On the bed next to me, on the floor, on the stairway, on the living room couch, on the cat tree, in the bathroom, etc. She must have spent the whole night carrying socks all over the house. As far as I know, she never took them again. And I never found any hiding place. Chase also hides his toys. I have no idea where, but they disappear and reappear. -- Meghan & the Zoo Crew Equine and Pet Photography http://www.zoocrewphoto.com |

Mr. Bonkers stashes them everywhere. They usually do not reappear. Theres
about 7 dozen feather tail mice floating around the house right now. Every once in awhile we will move a piece of furnature and there will be 2 or 3 but where the heck did he put 84 of them? They're pretty cheap at the local Menards ($3/dozen) so when he runs out we just buy another pack. And this doesn't even get into the missing scrunchi balls. "GrapplerGurl" wrote in message ... But I think you will find that the toys, along with anything shiny and fun to play with like pens and earrings, wind up in the strangest places now that you have George. That said, if you ever do think he has eaten something that may harm him you will certainly take him to the vet. |

You know, it never occured to me that my cats might be intentionally hiding things. I thought they just got lost in play. Now I have to wonder. |

Have you checked other oddball areas--like between couch cushions, near heat vents, under the fridge/washer/dryer? They are small enough to hide easily. Rene |

Really. ;-) They could be under the refrigerator, just about *anywhere*. But eventually you'll see one that you had thought was lost forever. Or once you find one, you may find all of the others, too - he may have a whole cache of them some place you've yet to discover. Cathy |
